WELCOME!
The Catholic Register highlighted this study in an April 2021 article. You can read that by clicking here.
From October 5, 2020 through April 30, 2021, I hosted an online Bible Study for staff, students, and families in Evergreen Catholic Schools. Together, we examined at those fourteen books in the Bible that tell the story of God’s plan for us, as outlined by Jeff Cavins in his “Great Adventure” Bible timeline. This page contains the all the links and resources for that study which anyone can do at any time.
If you’d like to start this study, simply start at the beginning with the introductory video and then heading into the “Early World” section. Keep in mind that it’s not a race and no one is being marked on when they get these done. Use the checklist below to help you keep track of what you’ve read – I’ve endeavoured to keep it to a couple of chapters each day, with Sundays off to either catch up or to take time to reflect on the Sunday readings. Outside of the videos, this keeping up with this study will only ask 3-5 minutes of your time daily, and you can complete the whole thing in about seven months.
Here’s a couple things to help you out:
- Download a PRINTABLE Checklist of the books & chapters we are going to read
- If you’re using this study as a start to read your way through the whole Bible, this checklist will allow you to keep track of that as well, as it lists every chapter from every book in the Bible (not just the books we’re reading.)
Weekly Outlines
Below you’ll find two columns for each week of the stuy. The first column, “Weekly Introductions” include a summary of what you’re going to read each week, with a few insights relating to some of the more difficult passages. It also includes the daily reading assignments for six days of readings per week. The second column, “What to Watch & Read,” links to the fifteen videos Mike recorded to help guide you through the study along with a list of the Bible passages you’ll be reading each week.
